The Barn

Designed and built for an eclectic shop equipment collector, Persinger Architects was able to blend very disparate elements into a striking, sustainable building. Its raw, precast concrete panel exterior houses a refined, 50-foot furniture-quality scissor truss that was inspired by a church. Fire resistant, engineered to withstand industrial machine use, and oriented to capture abundant natural lighting, it also features oversized sliding entry doors and a subterranean space.
